The leg problem was really weird and despite feeling some pain in other rivers on the trip we never experienced anything like as bad as that first day. You are brave, the thought of washing my hair in an Icelandic river gives me the shivers just thinking about it. I suppose the saying young and daft might fit for some of the things we have all done in our youth.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07061493122424534813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3739575111461729992.post-60433969689436738712013-09-03T14:04:10.759-07:002013-09-03T14:04:10.759-07:00What an incredible place. When we camped at Akureyri in 1981, there were no showers on the town camp site so we had a quick dip and washed our hair one day in a river flowing from the mountains. It was so called it gave us headaches, despite the fact we were in the water for as short a time as possible. We had another washing session in the river below Skogafoss, and that was a painful experience too. The things you do when you're young!<br />Cheers, AlenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
