I view the
beauty and splendour of the natural world from the dark side of the lens and as
a photographer and videographer my imagery has been widely published throughout the
world in magazines, newspapers, books websites and outdoor industry products.
Capturing that fleeting moment of light upon a landscape that will never be exactly the same again, or revealing the subtle natural details that have always been a part of our natural world, but are often overlooked is a challenge I enjoy immensely.
With an active, perhaps even obsessive interest in outdoor
activities I consider myself fortunate to be able to make my way in the world
primarily as a landscape and wildlife photographer. I do of course do other things such as workshops and commercial
photography, but my passion has always been about wild places.

My obsession with hill walking, climbing and the outdoor life in general also led me into mountain rescue, which in turn gave me an opportunity to qualify as a mountain leader and also gain the SPA (climbing) award. I also spent time helping to develop training within the team and went on to gain a BA (Hons) Degree in Education as well as a Cert Ed. It was difficult decision but after nearly 20 years service in the team I left to develop my photography business and founded Bluestone Images.
