With the recent rains the upper reaches of the river Tees have provided some great conditions for experienced canoeists. This was Low Force Waterfall on Saturday.
It does look pretty extreme doesn't it. It was great to watch and interesting to see the planning and safety precautions they took. They spent quite a long time discussing which line they were going to take and then just out of shot there are a couple of his mates with throw lines just in case it went wrong. Cheers, David
Now are you sure you don't want to give it a try??? It might be fun:-)
I grabbed some video last year of a guy that had a few problems. He was a great sport and said it would be ok to put it online. Its really clever how he manages to work the canoe away from the fall while underwater.
Wow - what a photo.
ReplyDeleteThat looks a bit extreme for my tastes.
