Autumn Colours

A few autumnal shots of the beech trees on the banks of the Tees near Low Force Waterfall in Upper Teesdale. No Photoshop jiggery pokery has been used with the colours, neither was any used to create the abstract, which was simply done using a longish exposure while pulling zoom at the same time. In fact nothing much more than the effort of an early start, some low autumnal sun and those wonderful autumn beech trees - Mother Nature really is something special.

  1. You make it sound so easy, David. Effortless even. The colours are truly magnificent.

    1. When you are working with wonderful autumn light and beech trees such as this I suppose it does feel pretty effortless at times. It certainly feels a privilege to spend time trying to capture it that's for sure.

  2. Superb photos. Beech trees are great value all year round I think, particularly the new leaves just as they appear and the autumn colour. Great stuff.

    1. I couldn't agree more Mark, they are smashing subjects in many ways. The new leaves always look wonderful especially when backlit on a spring morning.
